As a previous Polar HRM customer...wanted to upgrade to newer version plus the G1-GPS feature...hence purchased the RS300X-G1. The RS300X is basically OK as a HR monitor....although the menu system is NOT intuitive...takes some effort to figure it out...Small display makes it difficult to read while running. Regarding the G1 Sensor....very disappointing...had much difficulty in picking up satellites...frequent drop-out (lose of signal)...very inconsistent distance measurements. For the same route would get variances by as much as 10% over a 5km course (if the battery lasted that long). Battery needs to be externally charged..no internal charging feature. Overall construction quality not overly impressive. No software included. Technical support from Polar was minimal...could not find anyone with apparent sufficient technical knowledge.

Had some trouble with the GPS at the beginning but it was fixed with a brand new battery. Seems that the battery that came with the GPS was worn out.

I am a lover of polar products. this is my third one. It is nothing like the top line products like the various Garmin devices. It lacks some of the functions in previous devices at that price range like calories and time of day during exercise. but it is good to use when running in the park or the gym.
